Our impact

Integrating into society and the economy

On average, ART2WORK supports 50 young people every year.

More than 80% of participants complete their course, which we regard as a great success in itself.

85% of them go on to find a job, go back into training leading to a qualification or create their own job (regarded as a ‘positive outcome’) or sign up for an internship, voluntary work or skills enhancement training course not leading to a qualification (regarded as ‘positive action’).

Some opt for a combination of the two – for example training (in a language, computer skills, a refresher course, etc.) combined with voluntary work – in order to develop skills while gaining experience.

  • Positive outcome: 65%
  • Positive action: 20%

Flourishing and finding your place

Our work aims at a form of integration that goes beyond just a job placement. ART2WORK wants all young people to find their place and flourish on a long-term basis in today's society. We have therefore defined a series of indicators in areas where we believe development to be vital. In our programmes, we use innovative and creative methods to push young people to challenge themselves and make progress on these ‘essentials’:

Self-related: self-knowledge, self-confidence, autonomy, flexibility, sense of responsibility, time management, organisation;

Group-related: integration in the group, communication, socialisation, collective consciousness;

Society-related: social integration, development of a network, the gaining of a sense of purpose.

A method to measure this social impact has been created. Information is now being collected to check on the progress in relation to these indicators of the young people to whom we provide guidance.
